Polansky Picnic Pursuit

Polansky Picnic Pursuit #3
Helenan and I look forward to re-starting the annual picnic pursuit and hope many club members can participate in the run and recreation.
Date: May 22, 2021
Starting location: Old No. 9 Depot, 369 Esser Rd. (at Hwy 46), Boerne, TX
Time: Convene at 10 am, Drivers Meeting 10:15 am, Leave at 10:30 am
Picnic Location: LBJ State Park & Historic Site
We have reserved the Group Dining Hall and the Group Picnic areas at the park. This provides for a private picnic, restrooms, inside facilities if the rains come, and plenty of space under the trees along the Pedernales River. We know that this is a return trip to LBJ for the picnic, but it’s a perfect place for close parking (no lugging of your stuff too far), comfort under the trees, and playing within very pleasant surroundings.
The run (including one rest stop in Albert) will take around 1½ to 2 hours and features some Hill Country roads (e.g., Crabapple Road out of Kendalia, FM 474, FM 1623, Lower Albert Rd, etc.)
This is a BYOS, bring your own stuff, picnic so pack along your drinks, food, folding chairs, blankets, games, toys, drones, cameras, fishing gear, etc. Bring a lot so you can spend a few hours at the picnic.
For those interested, the park is located just across the river from the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and is very interesting place to visit.
